The Tasks of
Geo-Marketing
Locating a customer on the digital
map
Locating a customer is as easy as
the first one. After having loaded the data of your
customers into the GIS (as described above) you may use
the "search"-function - which nearly every GIS
provides.
You only have to state the field to
look in for the search pattern and the search string
itself, and the GIS will navigate through the digital map
directly to the point where your customer is located.
Often the GIS will also mark the spot where the customer
is supposed to be located with a special symbol for easy
recognition.
How accurate you can display the
location of your customer is only restricted by how
detailed the digital map is and how exact you can provide
your customers location.
